What to wear for your maternity portrait photo session.
“A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.” — Coco Chanel
Now that you’ve reached the third trimester, you’re in the home stretch for the maternity portraits.
So you’ve booked a date that works for that photo shoot you’ve been planning for ages.
Booking the photographer feels like the main job is done.
But really, there is a lot more that needs to be done to make sure that portraits capture you at your best.
You’ll look back on those portraits with pride and gratitude.
Now the day is almost here and you’re madly trying to figure out what everyone should wear.
Nothings fits and then, all of a sudden, the panic sets in.
Here are some tips to ensure that we are completely prepared for our maternity portrait photo session.
The main thing is to be comfortable. Maternity photo shoot should be a relaxed and happy event. Wearing clothes that make you feel comfortable will help you to ease into the shoot.
It’s not so much about what to avoid, but what works best for you.
For example, if your’ having a boy you might want to consider wearing whites and blues, and going for a pop of colour or contrast.
Contrast is your friend. Make sure pop of color sets you apart from the background.
Next, look to your skin tone.
Use color and contrast to bring out the best in your features and skin tone.
Personally, I love it when studio clients add a bit of color or drama to their outfit.
